For over ten years, Shir Chadash has added spirit and musical beauty to the worship experience at Temple Mount Sinai. A volunteer choir whose membership has grown to seventeen, Shir Chadash -- "a new song" -- has provided its members with a chance to come together, learn beautiful music, and produce the lovely sounds that enhance our Shabbat services.

Led by Rabbi Bach and accompanied by Linda McClain, Shir Chadash participates in Shabbat services during the year (usually twice a month), High Holiday services, and other special events such as Mitzvah Day. To prepare for these occasions, Shir Chadash rehearses each Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The rehearsals are often filled with laughter, rabbinical teachings and insights, and information sharing. Members share a sense of camaraderie and enjoy the spiritual fulfillment which comes from singing together.
